Dylan’s passion and enthusiasm for the industry is infectious and his commitment to it and our businesses is valued immensely.
So no surprise Dylan is a finalist in the Electrolux Appetite for Excellence Young Waiter of the Year Awards.
After making it successfully through the first round in Sydney – a gruelling set of practical and written examinations – Dylan was asked back with six other national finalists on a produce tour of NSW. He was also quizzed in a lengthy interview by leading industry figures including Lisa Van Haandel and Sam Christie.
Dylan calls the experience so far “an information and inspiration overload in the best possible way,” and has already introduced a few valuable lessons to the Stillwater and Black Cow floors.
The winner will be announced at an awards dinner in Sydney on August 8.
There is a People’s Choice Award for restaurant lovers to have their voice heard and support their favourite young chefs and waiters.
